MX6000HSTC Cab Buyer Guide

If you're considering the Kubota MX6000HSTC Cab with LA1065A loader, these are the sections worth looking at before you buy. Compare tractor size, horsepower, loader capability, PTO performance, cab comfort, implement sizing, and the decisions that can affect how useful the tractor is several years from now.

Why Buy The MX6000 Cab Decision Specs One-Button Comparison Guide Common Buyer Regrets Why Buy From Ravenscraft Price & Financing View MX6000 Cab Package Land Pride Implements

Why The MX6000HSTC Cab Is A Smart Buy

The Kubota MX6000HSTC Cab with LA1065A loader is built for property owners who want a tractor with enough size, horsepower, loader capability, and cab comfort to handle demanding acreage work without moving all the way into a larger agricultural tractor.

  • ✔ 63.4 horsepower gives you room to grow.
The MX6000HSTC has the engine power and PTO capability to handle larger mowing jobs, heavier 3-point implements, loader work, pasture maintenance, grading, and property projects that can quickly overwhelm a smaller compact tractor.
  • ✔ The MX chassis is a major part of what you are buying.
This is not simply a compact tractor with more horsepower. The MX6000 gives you a larger, heavier utility-tractor platform that provides better stability, more working weight, and the ability to handle larger implements confidently.
  • ✔ The climate-controlled cab changes how much you can use the tractor.
Heat and air conditioning make mowing, feeding, loader work, snow removal, and long days far more comfortable. The enclosed cab also helps keep dust, wind, insects, and debris away from the operator.
  • ✔ The LA1065A loader makes the tractor useful every day.
Dirt, gravel, mulch, manure, feed, lumber, pallets, brush, storm cleanup, snow, and round bales are the kinds of jobs where the factory-matched loader earns its keep.
  • ✔ Skid steer quick attach gives you tremendous flexibility.
The loader is not limited to a bucket. You can quickly move into pallet forks, a grapple, bale spear, snow equipment, hydraulic augers, and other skid steer-style attachments as your needs change.
  • ✔ The 3-range hydrostatic transmission is ideal for real property work.
Loader work, mowing around obstacles, feeding livestock, grading, cleaning lots, and working in tight areas all benefit from smooth forward-and-reverse control without constant clutching.
  • ✔ It is a strong tractor for round-bale and livestock work.
The combination of the heavier MX chassis and LA1065A loader makes the MX6000HSTC a much more natural fit for moving bales, handling feed, cleaning pens, and completing routine livestock chores than many lighter compact tractors.
  • ✔ Six-foot implements are a natural fit.
Rotary cutters, box blades, grading tools, finish mowers, and many other 72-inch implements pair well with the MX6000, giving acreage owners the ability to cover ground efficiently.
  • ✔ You can buy the tractor and loader now and add implements as you need them.
If you do not need a complete package today, the MX6000HSTC tractor and loader gives you a strong foundation. You can add the Land Pride implements that make sense for your property as your needs become clearer.
  • ✔ It is a tractor many owners are unlikely to outgrow quickly.
The combination of horsepower, tractor size, loader capability, PTO power, cab comfort, and attachment flexibility gives the MX6000HSTC enough capability for a wide range of long-term property needs.
  • ✔ The MX6000HSTC makes the most sense when machine size matters.
If you expect to handle heavier materials, larger implements, round bales, substantial mowing, or demanding loader work, the larger MX platform can matter considerably more than simply comparing horsepower numbers between tractors.

MX6000HSTC Cab Decision Specs

A specification only matters if it changes what the tractor can actually do for you. These are the numbers we believe matter most when deciding whether the MX6000HSTC Cab with LA1065A loader is the right size tractor for your property.

Engine Power
63.4 HP
Enough horsepower for serious acreage work while staying in the maneuverable MX utility-tractor platform.
PTO Horsepower
51.7 PTO HP
This is one of the biggest reasons to choose the MX6000 over the MX5400. More PTO horsepower gives you additional reserve for demanding mowing and PTO-driven equipment.
Engine Displacement
148.6 cu. in.
Kubota 4-cylinder diesel power in a tractor designed for loader work, mowing, grading, livestock chores and demanding property maintenance.
Transmission
3-Range HST
A very good match for loader work and property maintenance. Easy forward/reverse control makes repetitive loader work, mowing and maneuvering considerably easier.
LA1065A Loader Lift
2,275 LB
Rated at the pivot pins at maximum height. This tells you the strength of the loader, but it is not the same as saying you can put a 2,275-lb pallet on forks and safely lift it.
Real-World Loader Expectation
About 1,800 LB
We consider roughly 1,800 lb a more useful real-world working target when discussing loads carried forward of the pins, such as pallet forks. Attachment weight, load position, ballast and operating conditions all matter.
Loader Lift Height
111.2"
Over nine feet of maximum pivot-pin height gives the LA1065A useful reach for trailers, material handling, stacking and general farm or acreage loader work.
Loader Breakout Force
3,981 LBF
Breakout force matters when digging into packed dirt, gravel, manure or other material where bucket penetration is as important as lift capacity.
3-Point Lift
2,310 LB
Rated 24 inches behind the lift point. This is an important number when considering heavier rotary cutters, box blades, grading equipment and other 3-point implements.
Implement Hydraulic Flow
9.5 GPM
Hydraulic capacity matters when you begin adding equipment such as a third-function valve and grapple or other hydraulically operated attachments.
Fuel Capacity
11.9 GAL
Sized for extended mowing, loader work and property chores without constantly returning for fuel.
Cab
Heat + A/C
For many buyers this is as important as horsepower. Climate control, reduced dust and protection from wind, insects and debris can dramatically change year-round use.
Front Attachment System
Skid Steer QA
Quickly move between the bucket, pallet forks, grapple, bale spear and other compatible skid-steer-style attachments.
3-Point Hitch
Cat. I & II
Gives the MX6000 considerably more implement flexibility as your property needs grow.
Our Buyer Takeaway:
Don't choose the MX6000HSTC simply because it says 63.4 horsepower on the specification sheet. The real reason to buy this tractor is the combination of MX chassis size, 51.7 PTO horsepower, LA1065A loader, 3-range hydrostat, 3-point capacity and a climate-controlled cab. If you are handling round bales, mowing substantial acreage, maintaining long driveways, using heavier 6-foot implements, doing regular loader work, or simply don't want to outgrow your tractor quickly, those specifications matter together.

Important Loader Capacity Note:
The factory 2,275-lb loader rating is measured at the loader pivot pins. A pallet or round bale carried on forks places the load farther forward, reducing the amount you can actually lift. That is why we prefer discussing roughly 1,800 lb as a practical real-world target rather than selling the tractor based only on the maximum pivot-pin number. Proper rear ballast, attachment weight, load position, terrain and safe operating practices still matter.

Why Buy Your MX6000HSTC Cab From Ravenscraft?

Dan Ravenscraft grew up around tractors and implements. Long before he was selling equipment, he was assembling implements at Ravenscraft Implement and learning how the equipment actually goes together, how it is used, and what makes one setup work better than another.

That matters when you are buying a tractor like the Kubota MX6000HSTC Cab. This is a machine that may be mowing pastures, handling round bales, grading driveways, moving gravel, feeding livestock, running a rotary cutter, or working with pallet forks and a grapple for many years. We want to help you get the right tractor, loader, tires, ballast, and implements from the beginning.

We’ll Tell You If The MX6000 Is The Right Tractor For What You Need

If an MX5400, MX6000 ROPS, smaller compact tractor, or larger utility tractor makes more sense for your property, we will tell you. Our goal is not simply to sell you the MX6000 — it is to help you buy the tractor that fits your actual work.

We Talk About Real-World Loader Capacity

Loader specifications can be misleading if you only look at the maximum pivot-pin number. We would rather talk about what the LA1065A can realistically do with pallet forks, a bale spear, grapple, bucket, proper ballast, and the load carried forward of the pins.

We Help Match The Implements To The Tractor

Rotary cutters, box blades, pallet forks, grapples, quick hitches, grading tools, bale equipment, and other attachments all affect how useful the tractor becomes. We stock Land Pride implements and can help you choose equipment that is appropriately sized for the MX6000.

We Think About What You May Need Later

A third-function valve, grapple, pallet forks, rear remotes, tire ballast, bale spear, or larger mower may not be on your list today. We try to understand where your property and equipment needs are going so you do not unintentionally limit yourself.

Local Advice From A Dealership That Has Been Here Since 1962

Ravenscraft Implement has served customers from Whitewater, Kansas for generations. We understand the kind of work these tractors do on Kansas properties — long gravel drives, pasture mowing, livestock chores, round bales, brush, dust, heat, wind, and year-round maintenance.

We Want To Be Useful After The Sale

Buying the tractor is only the beginning. Parts, service, attachments, maintenance questions, future implements, and setup changes are all easier when you have a local dealership you can call and talk to.

The best MX6000 sale is not simply the one where we sell a tractor. It is the one where, years later, you still feel like you bought the right machine for the work you actually do.

MX6000HSTC Cab Comparison Guide

The best comparison is not simply which tractor has the most horsepower. The better question is which tractor size, transmission, loader, PTO capability, and cab best fit the work you actually need to do?

Closest Comparison

MX5400HSTC Cab vs. MX6000HSTC Cab

This is the comparison most MX6000 Cab buyers should make first. The MX5400 and MX6000 share the same basic MX platform and are extremely similar in physical size, loader capability, cab, transmission, and overall feel.

Choose the MX5400 Cab if: the MX platform is the right physical size for you but you do not need the additional PTO horsepower of the MX6000.

Choose the MX6000 Cab if: you expect heavier PTO work, substantial mowing, or simply want the most horsepower available in the MX hydrostatic platform.
The Sweet Spot

Why Choose The MX6000HSTC Cab?

The MX6000HSTC combines 63.4 engine horsepower, 51.7 PTO horsepower, a 3-range hydrostatic transmission, LA1065A loader, skid steer quick attach, and a factory climate-controlled cab in the MX chassis.

Choose the MX6000 Cab if: you want serious PTO capability and loader performance but still want the convenience of hydrostatic drive for loader work, mowing around obstacles, livestock chores, grading, and general acreage maintenance.
Step Up In Tractor

MX6000HSTC Cab vs. Grand L6070 Cab

The Grand L6070 moves you into a more premium tractor with additional features, refinement, transmission technology, and operator conveniences.

Choose the MX6000 Cab if: you want capability and simplicity and do not need all of the premium features of the Grand L.

Consider the L6070 Cab if: operator refinement, additional transmission features, hydraulic options, and premium controls are important enough to justify moving into the Grand L platform.
Move Into Utility Tractor Territory

MX6000HSTC Cab vs. M6060HDC

This comparison is less about horsepower and more about tractor class. The M6060 is a larger agricultural utility tractor designed around heavier loader work, livestock, hay equipment, and more demanding farm use.

Choose the MX6000 Cab if: you want a more maneuverable tractor and strongly value the convenience of hydrostatic drive for loader and property work.

Consider the M6060HDC if: heavier loader work, larger hay equipment, livestock production, greater tractor mass, and agricultural use are becoming the dominant jobs.
The Most Important Comparison Question

Do you need a different horsepower level — or do you actually need a different size tractor?

If the MX chassis is the right physical size, the MX5400 vs. MX6000 decision is primarily about how much horsepower and PTO capability you need.

If you need substantially more tractor weight, agricultural capability, loader capacity, or heavier equipment capability, then you should probably be comparing the MX6000 to a larger tractor rather than simply looking for another horsepower number.

Our Take:
For an acreage owner who wants a cab, does significant loader work, mows substantial acreage, uses 6-foot implements, handles round bales, and prefers hydrostatic drive, the MX6000HSTC is one of the strongest all-around combinations in Kubota's lineup. But if you do not need the extra PTO horsepower, the MX5400 deserves a serious look. And if your work is becoming more agricultural than property-maintenance oriented, we would rather show you an M-Series tractor than try to make the MX6000 do a job that belongs to a larger machine.

Common MX6000HSTC Cab Buyer Regrets

The MX6000HSTC Cab is a very capable tractor, but a good tractor can still be the wrong purchase if it is not equipped for the work you actually plan to do. These are the decisions we believe are worth thinking through before you buy.

1. Underestimating The Importance Of Rear Ballast

The LA1065A is a strong loader, which makes proper ballast even more important. A heavy load on the front changes tractor balance, steering, traction, and stability. Loaded rear tires, a heavy rear implement, or another properly matched ballast solution can make loader work safer and make the tractor perform better.

2. Choosing Tires Without Thinking About Kansas Conditions

Tire choice affects traction, ride, ground disturbance, puncture resistance, and how useful the tractor feels every day. For many Kansas acreage owners, R4 industrial tires are a very practical all-around choice. If maximum field traction matters more than protecting turf or gravel surfaces, R1 agricultural tires may make more sense.

3. Buying Too Small Of An Implement

The MX6000 has the tractor size and PTO horsepower to work comfortably with many 6-foot implements. Buying an undersized rotary cutter, box blade, grading tool, or finish mower can mean more passes, more time, and less efficient use of the tractor. Implement width and weight should be matched to the actual work, not just the lowest price.

4. Assuming The Loader's Pivot-Pin Rating Is The Same As Fork Capacity

Loader capacity drops as the load moves farther forward. A pallet sitting on forks or a round bale on a spear is not carried at the pivot pins. Attachment weight, load position, ballast, terrain, and operating conditions all matter. That is why we prefer discussing real-world working capacity instead of selling the tractor from one maximum specification.

5. Not Adding A Third Function If A Grapple Is In Your Future

If you expect to clean up brush, storm damage, trees, limbs, rocks, or demolition debris, a grapple can completely change how useful the loader is. If that work is in your future, it is worth discussing a third-function hydraulic valve when you purchase the tractor instead of wishing you had planned for it later.

6. Not Thinking About Rear Remotes Before You Need Them

Hydraulic top links, offset cutters, hydraulic blades, certain hay equipment, and other implements can require rear hydraulic remotes. You may not need them today, but if those implements are part of your long-term plan, it is worth discussing hydraulic requirements before the tractor is configured.

7. Waiting Too Long To Add Pallet Forks

A loader bucket is useful, but pallet forks often become one of the most-used attachments on the tractor. They can make moving pallets, lumber, fencing supplies, feed, brush piles, logs, equipment, and other materials considerably easier. With the MX6000's skid steer quick attach, adding forks is simple when the need arises.

8. Buying Tractor & Loader Only When You Already Know You Need The Package

If you already know you need a quick hitch, box blade, rotary cutter, or other matched implements, it is worth comparing the MX6000 Cab complete package before purchasing tractor and loader only. Package programs can sometimes make it more attractive to purchase the implements with the tractor instead of adding everything one piece at a time.

9. Focusing On Horsepower And Ignoring Tractor Size

Horsepower matters, but so do chassis size, weight, wheelbase, loader geometry, 3-point capacity, and stability. The MX6000's value is not simply that it has 63.4 horsepower — it is that the horsepower is packaged in a larger MX utility-tractor platform.

10. Buying More Tractor Than Your Property Actually Needs

The MX6000 is a substantial tractor. That is a benefit when you need its size, loader ability, PTO power, and working weight, but it can also be more machine than necessary for smaller properties, tight spaces, or primarily light-duty work. We would rather help you buy the right-sized tractor than convince you that bigger is always better.

The biggest regret is usually not buying the wrong accessory. It is buying a tractor before fully thinking through what you expect it to do over the next several years.
