The RCR1860 is one of my favorite recommendations for customers purchasing a Kubota L2502, L3902, L4701, or MX4900. It offers the ideal combination of manageable weight, excellent durability, and a true heavy-duty build without requiring the horsepower of larger commercial cutters.
Compared to the lighter RCR1260, the RCR1860 gives you twice the brush cutting capacity, a stronger deck, a longer gearbox warranty, and heavier overall construction. If your property includes hedge saplings, cedar sprouts, thick pasture grass, waterways, CRP ground, or overgrown fence rows, the RCR1860 is money well spent.
For many compact tractor owners, this is the rotary cutter you buy once and keep for decades. It has enough durability to grow with your property while remaining well-matched to today’s Kubota compact tractors. If your mowing is limited to light grass and occasional weeds, the RCR1260 can save some money. But if you expect to encounter rougher terrain or heavier brush, the RCR1860 is the cutter I’d recommend every time.
